My Red character still looks very European, so I'll finesse it once I get several more designs down. Watched a friend do a speed paint digitally and I decided to utilize his techniques. Re-doing these designs, and the story would follow the Little Red Riding Hood from Grimm's, but it'll take place among a grander story I've come up with.Albert Hsuhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10249713329883447313noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7346468626141648825.post-22337562146465218902013-01-08T14:40:00.003-08:002013-03-05T17:57:19.297-08:00Collection of Tutorials, Guides, Tips and TricksA collection of websites and tutorials I've found across the web and saved up. I've found a good amount from this Tumblr user: Eyecager and decided to write a post with a little tidbit of what I found on each site. I had some guidance from my professor on subsequent ones and I also looked at how people did their environments. I just wanted an environment with trees, and a bony looking tent. Then I scrapped it.
I "pushed" this piece another 10%, gave it a little oomph to it as it still felt like there was a lack of contrast. Professor Ellen again helped me with it. I will upload a LAST iteration once my finals are over with because I can't concentrate on it.Albert Hsuhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10249713329883447313noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7346468626141648825.post-45032131747906274732012-12-04T17:35:00.001-08:002012-12-05T15:23:27.186-08:00Forest Stream

Never completed an environment piece before only because I was too scared to approach these kinds of paintings. A lot of guidance from my professor, Ellen Over, helped me finally complete it. Completed! Most of my time was not spent drawing, but rather on research, deciding what weapons to do, and tattoos. Tattoos were hard, but they were fun to do. Not as detailed as I'd like them to be, but there's a first time for everything! As for weapons, I've done many iterations of the Onikawan weapon types, as well as potential Yakuza weapons (Aside from firearms). These are still just placeholders. Composing this with another character for a scene!
