Don't think I'm improving in my abilities, feel like I'm plateauing. My experiments doing a quick background and using photo textures. It's a blank building because I don't ahve the technical skills to create my idea. I'll try again on a new piece once I get the hang of perspectives first. Back to the basics!
I really like your take on Sherlock Holmes and how its progressing...the bottom image looks great, despite the blank building......btw, I totally know how hard figuring out the perspective is in a shot like this...a while back I tried making a sci-fi environment but figuring out where the buildings went and how I should draw them was a real pain...However, looking at how other artists did sci-fi environments really helped me out...here is some of the concept art reference that I used....hope it helps! :)

Wow, thanks a lot! I appreciate this! I have the Mass Effect 3 concept book with me right now and I used Deus Ex as inspiration. My buildings aren't creative, it's just an experiment doing a quick matte. I'm goign to use the Arkham City concept for my next work.
